As the need for trained cybersecurity professionals continues to grow worldwide, it has become increasingly important to introduce the field to the future workforce and provide tools and resources to help individuals develop cyber skills.
Since 2021, Cognitive Research Labs Inc. has sponsored Carnegie Mellon CyLab's picoCTF cybersecurity hacking competition, helping build awareness and attract talent to the profession by promoting the event and awarding prizes to top finishers in Japan.
This year students will compete both individually and on teams, learning and developing cybersecurity skills as they look to take home a portion of CognitiveHack's 200,000 yen prize pool. Prizes will be awarded to students in multiple categories, including overall winners, as well as to the top junior high school, high school, university, and all-female teams.
Participants will also have the chance to see how they stack-up against competitors world-wide through picoCTF’s global leaderboard.
